Summer Schedule Change, Fall Schedule of Lessons & Upcoming Price Increase

To all of my students and parents, thank you for the opportunity to work with you!

Please note this change to the Summer 2024 Schedule: 

I am teaching July 29 –  August 2. 

There will be NO lessons: August  5 – 9

Please mark your calendars for the FALL 2024 Schedule.  As always, there are 42 lessons scheduled from September through August. (14 lessons scheduled from September through December 2024.)

There will be NO lessons:
September 2 and 9
October 23, 25  and 31
November 25 – 29

December 23 – 31

The Fall Recital is scheduled for Sunday,  November 17 at Denton High School.  More information later. 

Effective September 1, 2024 tuition is as follows:

Group classes are $85.00 per month  

Sibling classes: there is a discount for having two siblings in the Program: $140.00 per month, ($70.00 per child) assuming that there is at least one other student in the class

½ hour private lesson– $145.00 per month

¼ hour private lesson– $80.00 per month

If you plan to drop lessons, please give me 2 weeks’ notice. 

If you are NOT receiving the monthly newsletter and would like to,  please inform me!  If your child is NOT enrolled in The Guitar Club,  please let me help you get enrolled.  This online supplement to lessons has lots of helpful tips, videos, games, challenges,  etc.  

Tuition is due the first lesson of the month. I accept cash, check, credit card, PayPal and Venmo. (@Polly-Maynard) 

If your child is experiencing fever, cough, sore throat, or other signs of illness, please do not attend the lesson. I will try to schedule make-ups for missed classes. (Online lessons are a good way to make up for in-person lessons.)

Miss Polly Stars in “Patti & Theo’ at the Ochre House Theater from May 1-May 18

Artistic Director Matthew Posey debuts an original dark comedy with music, PATTI & THEO, the third installment of the 2023-24 season. Mr. Posey authors and directs the story of Patti and Theo, struggling artists in Brooklyn, New York. Booze plays an outsized role in their daily existence. In fact, time will tell if they survive the drinking religion. You’ll wade into the boozy waters of the couple’s nightmarish world and witness the unraveling of their lives as they try one last time to love each other. Original music and shadow-play complement this story of two lovers who hold each other passionately at arm’s length.

Miss Polly Performs April 6 at Community Market

This Saturday, April 6th, Live Music at the Market presents Polly Maynard from 9AM to 11:30 am at the Denton Community Market on 317 Mulberry Street. It’s Autism Acceptance Day, and Denton Community Market will be embracing the beauty of neurodiversity, which continues throughout April’s Autism Awareness Month. It’s a market experience designed with sensitivity and inclusivity in mind. For the first two hours, there will be softer music and sensory related activities available. Should be beautiful weather, so come on out!

Spring 2024 Teaching Schedule Announced

Please mark your calendars for the Spring 2024 Schedule. As always, there are 42 lessons scheduled from September through August. There were 14 lessons scheduled from September through December 2023, there are 14 lessons scheduled from January through April 2024, and 14 lessons will be held from May through August of 2024.
There will be NO lessons:
December 22 – January 5 (Classes resume Monday, January 8)
January 15
February 13 – 19
March 11 – 15
April 12 and 30
