Childbloom students will perform at The Denton Tree Lighting Festival on 

Saturday, December 2, 2023 on the stage located in 

Williams Square from

4-5 p.m. 

Holiday tunes preferred, please. 

 We will provide music stands, footstools,  and chairs. Bring your guitar and music,  if needed. This is an outdoor event,  so dress accordingly – holiday outfits encouraged!!!  Parking will be tricky, so plan ahead.

Miss Polly can be seen under the big top as a variety of characters in the upcoming “Cirque du Horror”, running from October 27 – 29th. The show features a variety of spooky fun-filled skits with an amazing live? orchestra. There will be four shows, and tickets are selling fast. So get yours now!

Join Miss Polly on Saturday October 28th in The Pumpkin Patch at The Denton Day of the Dead Festival, 124 Oak Street, as she performs with puppet shows, carnival games, musical acts, dancers, rides, bounce houses, etc.  Free and open to the public.

Join Miss Polly as she performs with a Kids’ Show at the Denton Community Market, located on 317 W. Mulberry St., 76201 on Saturday, October 28th from 9:15-10:15AM. Accompanying Miss Polly will be a host of great musicians on a variety of instruments. The show will feature an abundance of seasonal songs, candy, games, dances, as well as a host of corny jokes. It’s a free outdoor event, rain or shine. We’d love to see you there!

THE DENTON CHILDBLOOM GUITAR PROGRAM FALL SCHEDULE 2023
Please mark your calendars for the Fall 2023 Schedule. As stated in the enrollment letter, there are 42 lessons per year – from September through August. There are 14 lessons scheduled from September through December 2023, there will be 14 lessons scheduled from January through April 2024, and 14 lessons will be held from May through August of 2024.
There will be NO lessons:
Monday, September 4 (Labor Day)
Monday – Friday, October 23 -27 Please note: we are having class on Monday, October 9th even though it is a DISD (and National) holiday. (Happy Birthday to MLK!) Please let me know if this is inconvenient for you.
Tuesday – Friday, November 21 – 24. Please note: we are having class on Monday, November 20, even though DISD is out for Thanksgiving Break. Please let me know if this is inconvenient for you.
December 22, 2023 – January 4, 2024. (Winter Break)
If your child is displaying signs of illness, please attend the lesson virtually. Or, I will try to schedule make-ups for missed classes. If you have a conflict on a lesson day, the sooner you contact me the easier it is to schedule a make-up lesson.
Reminder: no lessons August 14 – 18. If this conflicts with your start of school routine, please contact me ASAP for alternate lesson time.

Performance date: Our annual Fall Recitals will be held on Sunday, November 12 in The Denton High School Auditorium, 1007 Fulton St, Denton, TX 76201 . Details to follow soon.

If you are NOT receiving the monthly newsletter and would like to, please inform me! If your child is NOT enrolled in The Guitar Club, please let me help you get enrolled. This online supplement to lessons has lots of helpful tips, videos, games, challenges, etc.

Masking is no longer required in the studio.  For everyone’s safety, if your child is experiencing fever, cough, sore throat, or other signs of illness, please do not attend the lesson. Please encourage your student to practice for the Recital,  which is Saturday, April 29th at The Denton High School Auditorium, 3001 Bronco Way, 76207.  The campus is HUGE!  Please allow time to locate the Fine Arts Building,  on the far southwest side of the campus.  There are 4 recitals that day,  so I will be unable to respond to text messages or phone calls after 12pm.  Recital fee: $3 per student.  Family and friends are welcome to attend!! I will be sending out the programs over the next week.  Please refer to that for your assigned time, and for any typos I may have made!!!!
